Christmas Eve morning I visually observed the Sun using safely filtered 20x60 binoculars - surprise, surprise seeing a nice Sunspot,
However, I attach a Christmas Card view of some alien mountains defying global warming with a covering of white stuff.
(Dow Crag is extreme left, the Scafells mid-photo, Langdale & Pikes far right)
