Glad you like the APOD Cliff. I like the way that the Matterhorn is crowned by the Bee Hive cluster.

Needless to say I noticed the lovely Open Cluster, but I'm ashamed to say I didn't recognise it as magnificent Messier 44 - it just goes to show how much out of touch I am with the night sky these days.

When I first saw this image Cliff, and before reading the text below it, I thought the cluster was the Hyades. Then, I noticed that Aldebaran was conspicuous by its absence.
