The Star Party is booking up fast, but there are still chalets available – so book now or you may have to stay in a tent!

Booking forms and more information is available at: www.iowstarparty.org

or email: info@iowstarparty.org

We have just had confirmation that a Rocket-man will talk to us about his work at the rocket testing site (Needles New Battery), so make sure you also book for the visit.

Trade stands that have confirmed their attendance are:

The Widescreen Centre: http://www.widescreen-centre.co.uk/
Island Planetarium: http://www.islandastronomy.co.uk/
Representing:
Celestron on behalf of David Hinds
Meade on behalf of BC&F
And
Ninian Boyle from Venturescope: http://www.telescopesales.co.uk/ is 99% sure he’s coming too!

We have some great raffle prizes, including the main prize – a lanthanum eyepiece kindly donated by Orion Optics http://www.orionoptics.co.uk/ (worth over £100), books from Springer http://www.springer.com and subscriptions to Astronomy Now magazine http://www.astronomynow.com/

There is an indoor area to meet and chat with other astronomers at all times. We also have some lectures available if the weather is not kind.

Thursday 6th March - Arrival Day, Pure Stargazing
Friday 7th March - Pure Stargazing
Saturday 8th March - Daytime: Trade Stands / Astrojumble / Raffle / Speakers
Saturday 8th March - Hours of Darkness: Stargazing
Sunday 9th March - Afternoon: Visit to The Needles New Battery (Ex-Rocket testing site) (Minimal extra cost associated with this visit)
Sunday 9th March - Hours of Darkness: Stargazing

See You There!
