We've been sent details of this event, which may well interest SPA members. For info please go to the website mentioned rather than asking me! Note that there is a London SPA meeting the next day, so you have until 2 pm on Saturday to wake up.

BFI IMAX and SCI-FI-LONDON have teamed up to present the ultimate night of sci-fi on Britain's biggest screen.

Including Richard Dreyfuss' brush with UFOs in Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) (35mm*), Peter Hyams' space western Outland (1981) (70mm) starring Sean Connery, Douglas Trumbull's brain warping thriller Brainstorm (1983) (70mm) and finally Kubrick's pioneering masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) (Digital).

Singer, songwriter and model VV Brown will be appearing with filmmaker and comic book creator David Allain to introduce the All-Nighter. They have previously collaborated on numerous projects, including the music video for VV's single 'Crying Blood'.

Free tea and coffee will be served between each film to keep everyone going until dawn and there will be the usual mix of competitions and prizes. This all-nighter will finish at approximately 9.30am on Saturday 30 April. This time includes tea/coffee breaks.
