SUN DAY
Sunday 8th August, Family day, all free with a ticket to INTECH.

Solar observing and displays/activities about the Sun. Regional Astronomy groups, Rutherton Appleton Labs, Wessex Cancer Trust and STEMnet volunteers bring something for everyone.

SOLAR IMAGING WORKSHOP
Also Sunday 8th August, Workshop, 1-4pm, £40

LIVE PLANETARIUM SHOWS
Various dates through the summer, entry price +£2.20

If you haven't seen our live shows yet then come along to get a real sense of the scale of the Universe. No better way to appreciate just how tiny our planet Earth really is.

ADULT SPACE LECTURES
2nd Weds 6:30pm from September to July, Lecture, +£6/£5

Top visiting speakers have an hour before we finish with a short planetarium show about this month's sky. Popular series, we recommend pre-booking.

Starting on Sept 8th with Prof. Chandra Wickramasinghe.

POETRY/ASTRONOMY EVENT
Sat 11th Sept, 7pm, Theatre/talk for adults, £10
"How Not to be Afraid of the Dark" was originally commisioned for the Ledbury Poetry Festival. A 40min performance is followed by a 40min talk about poetry inspired by Astronomy by Prof Jocelyn Bell Burnell.

WORLD SPACE WEEK
Public days Sat/Sun 9th/10th October, 10am-4pm, BIG Family day
Large exhibitions and hands-on activities from Astrium (including prototype Mars rover "Bridget"), Arqiva, SEPnet Universities (displays about LOFAR) and a host of other things including regional Astronomy Societies, a tradestand from the Widescreen telescope store, water rockets and Rebel Legion (dressed up as Star Wars characters!). Exhibition and activities free with a ticket to INTECH. Live planetarium shows by Astrium space engineers are charged at our normal rate.
