LIVE Moon webcast - all systems are GO! Sunday 20 Nov.

Post by Peter Grego »

Hi all

A warm invitation to all lunar observers to view my next planned
LIVE webcast:

>>>>> The 18 day old Moon

>>>>> Sunday, 20 November 2005

>>>>> 02:00-03:00 UT (please note that this is Universal Time)

There will be occasional live text commentary. You can view the
lunar images live on my website at:

I will be using my 200mm SCT, probably afocally through a 7mm Nagler
and x2 Barlow to give a nice close-up image.

We will take a good look along the evening terminator of a waning
gibbous Moon. Libration will be superb for the southeastern portion
of the Moon, and we are set to have some great views of the lunar
terminator. Sit back and enjoy the view, or use it to plan your
own lunar observing session.

Best wishes,

Peter Grego
See you there!

PS.. Problems all fixed now. This morning's (19 November) webcast
could not be set up, unfortunately - I later discovered that I was
using a failed USB repeater cable on my chain linking the webcam on
the 'scope to the computer indoors.
