Post subject:  Greenland's giant crater discovery

A huge impact crater, 31 kilometres wide, has been detected beneath Greenland's ice sheet by an international team of scientists. The crater is located below the Hiawatha Glacier and is the first of its kind to be found under a continental ice sheet.
Scientists think that the impact occurred between 3 million and 12,000 years ago.
