Rendezvous with Lyra?

Post by RMSteele »

Is this really an object from interstellar space? It has the right signature - hyperbolic path, coming from the direction of the solar apex - A/2017 U1 appears to be a small asteroid swinging through our solar system on its way to Pegasus. If so, maybe they should call these things Rama after the sci-fi object in Clarke's novel "Rendevous with Rama". There shouldn't be many discoveries so they could be Rama 1, Rama 2, etc, if they find more. Bob
