Post subject:  Newly recognised sky light

A band of light previously taken little notice of and thought to be part of auroral phenomena, has now been found to be something quite different - a stream of high temperature/high velocity gas in the outer atmosphere. The whitish ribbon of light is informally known simply as Steve at the moment. Why not "Dave" I ask? Bob
