Dear Dave,
I have a lot happening on Tuesday so unlikely.
Perhaps they can alter it to Wednesday or Thursday?

Best wishes, David

Hi,

There might be a chance to catch a school contact this coming Thursday (6th Dec.)
It will be a very low pass (7 deg. for me) but hopefully I should be able to give this one a go.
The contact is due to start at approx 20.00 UT.
It will be a USA contact telebridged via Italy.

ATB
Dave

Hi,

Not been very active (astro-wise) for quite a while but hopefuly things might be back to normal now after the pre-Christmas workload :)
I have read that the ISS crew have been making school contacts recently. There will be a school contact (France) tomorrow morning (Monday 7th Jan) at approx. 10.57 UT. The pass will be between 10.59 and 11.05 UT approx. for us. Will be a high pass and well worth a go.

Hi David,
Nice one.
Was a very good contact (lasted for around 6 mins for me).
Was using the 'rubber duck' antenna but was one of the strongest signals I have heard.
Really interesting :)

Hi,
Here's something I found very interesting. Now we can see how a school contact is made.
The video is around 52 minutes long but you can move the time cursor along to the 32 minute mark for the actual transmission if you dont want to watch it all.
Click on the Lifestyle tab then the Misc tab for the video.

Hi,
There's a good chance of catching some voice comms tomorrow evening (Friday 8th). There will be a transmission (telebridged via northern Italy) with a childrens hospital in Toronto, Canada. It is due to begin at approx 20.07 UT. The pass for us will be between 20.10 to 20.16 UT. Not heard anything for quite a while now but at least it will be on view again very shortly.

Sorry Dave,
Forgot about it, remembered 20.25 UT too late, had intended to try.
Perhaps I will remember another time.

All the best, David

Hi David,
Sorry you missed it but you weren't the only one :( A late finish at work (yet again) meant I missed out too. Been searching around but as of yet I haven't come across of any reports of the transmission.
Was hoping to do some observing tonight as we were promised clear skies but .. bitterly cold and hazy so I wont bother, (or maybe that's just a lame excuse, as it's not stopped me before  ).

Hello Dave and David

Happy New Year!

I've been listening to a quite few passes this week but not heard a peep sadly. Missed the 20:07 tonight as I was cooking!

All the best

Tim
