The RemoveDebris satellite was successfully launched to the ISS ( International Space Station ) this week. The British-led project is to demonstrate how to salvage space junk in Earth-orbit, combining a net for space litter and a dragsail harpoon for spearing and hauling in bigger objects.
The RemoveDebris satellite was designed and constructed at the University of Surrey by a consortium funded by the European Commission. The project is the first practical attempt to try to deal with space junk.

"It's a joke when morons like musk launch cars into space".

Elon could be in breach of laws forbidding littering in Space.
He is likely to contest the charges.

Yes, ElonGate is going to be a very drawn-out affair.

Is launching humans into space littering?

What fines are applicable?
At £1 a mile it could get quite expensive.

£1 per person or per vehicle?

Can the fine be paid in bitcoins?

Does the launchee get points on his or her licence?

This will be debated in the Commons on April 31st.

Regards,
David
