It's Manchester today to see the Soyuz space capsule that brought Tim Peake back to Earth from the ISS ( International Space Station ), at the Museum of Science & Industry.
I recall seeing the Apollo 10 space capsule in a public park in the 1970s. It will be interesting to compare their sizes.

Soyuz looked a bit smaller than I expected and has the shape of a diving bell. Although the craft looks perfectly intact, it isn't reusable. But why not? Two of the answers are that replacement of the heat-shield would be difficult and expensive to do, and the reliability of the landing rockets would be compromised if reused. In theory, the Soyuz is 100% reliable, but only if used once.
This particular Soyuz capsule was purchased by the Science Museum and its associates. It's smaller that the Apollo capsule, but the latter's job was different anyway, as was the landing mode. Next stop for Soyuz in May will be Edinburgh.
