Equipment for determining double star PA

Post by lone77star »

Hi, I'm hoping to get a new scope, soon for some serious double star observing.

Does anyone have any experience determining PA and sep between primary and secondary. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Dear Carl,
I used to use a filar micrometer using spider web cross wires.
Some had position angle measures, mine did not.
I think other methods are used by amateurs nowadays but I cannot remember the details although I did read about it.
