Mars 25 Feb

Post by smerral »

Well I tried Autostakkert for stacking and I must say I'm impressed! :)) Then wavelets in Reg 6 and a touch of focus magic. Again it's the Atik Titan and x2.5 Powermate with the Mak, enlarged 200% in PS.

That is really good Brian for such a small scope.
Is that Syrtis Major? It is about all I remember seeing with a 3 inch refractor years ago and the pole cap.

Another Mars from last night's session. This was the first run I did - just a trial run really but it's come out OK :)

That's good, Brian. Lots of detail there. I haven't tried Mars this year yet.

Hi Brian,

The 'trial' image came out well but I really like the detail and colour in your first image, well done :)

All the best

Hi Brian. Good image for the aperture 8) Mars is always a challenge.

I think I agree that it's a tad over-sharpened, as shown by the specks of brighter colour in places. I think the trial image shows truer colours.

Brian
