Although I've imaged NGC 891 previously, I like to go back to these 'favourites' when they are well placed to try different techniques.
My previous efforts have all been unguided 60 sec subs. This is over 2 hours of guided 2min, 3min and 4min subs.
Is it any better? Well, not much - the background is a little cleaner for sure but I think the sky limits any possible improvements - unless I spend a lot of money on adaptive optics, I think I'm stuck with the skies I've got.
All best,
David.

Thanks Jack.
I always find 891 quite difficult through the eyepiece, considering how bright it appears on the camera image. Never seen any dust lanes through my 10" but then I don't have Kielder skies!
All best,
David.
