Despite a bright waxing gibbous moon and a drenching dew, I managed to image an area on the Cepheus/Cassiopeia border last night and catch some of the threads of light and dark nebulosity that pervade this patch of sky.

The nomenclature of this HII region left me a little confused, hence my own name for it. If you view the image upside down, you might see where I'm coming from.

Hi,
Great image given the state of the moon and the soaking wet conditions!
Your web site is brilliant, it gives a really clear indication of the way problems can be overcome and a very interesting account of your path through astroimaging. Things we can all learn from.
Thanks so much,
Regards,
David..

Hi, great photo. Was this taken with a 135mm lens? If so, was the lens used wide open or did you stop it down a little?suburbanskies wrote:Despite a bright waxing gibbous moon and a drenching dew, I managed to image an area on the Cepheus/Cassiopeia border last night and catch some of the threads of light and dark nebulosity that pervade this patch of sky.
