The SUN - 10th May

Post by Cliff »

10th May a Very varied day with scary heavy showers fortunately mostly short lasting. During a clearing mid-afternoon I imaged the Sun in White Light & Hydrogen Alpha - one of each plus a cropped version of the White Light image showing the Sunspots now attached.

Good to see you doing the Sun Cliff. My count this morning was 2 groups, 6 spots and 3 spots (the smaller spots in the minor group were difficult to see even though seeing and transparency were first class at 0808 UT this morning). By the way the nova in Cas is an easy mag 5.4 now even in the summer twilight at 2130 UT. I bet you could get that through double glazing. Best wishes Bob
