Observation Planning Software

To give my viewing a bit more structure I've been looking at trial versions of observation planning software.

AstroPlanner ($40)
Deep-Sky Planner ($55)
Deepsky ($70)

Each has individual merits and quirks. I found none of them intuitive to use but this seems to be the nature of Astronomy software!

Has anyone used any of the above in the field? If so could they post a mini-review of what they liked / disliked.

I've been using Astroplanner for 9 months or so and generally find it ok though I don't keep a particularly sophisticated observing log. I don't have time right now to write a proper review however one major plus point that I like is that it can automatically generate Meade Autostar tours. One negative point is that since installing a bluetooth device on my desktop PC, Astroplanner refuses to work. To be fair though, I haven't contacted the seller yet to see if there is a workaround. Quite a steep learning curve as well but I suspect most astronomical software has this!
