Not quite astronomy, not quite computers, but I thought this was the best fit anyway and I think it might be useful to some people.

Google appear to have launched a beta programme for a new service called Google Page Creator. I mention it because it might be another option for people who want to create astronomy websites but don't have a hosting service available to them.

As I understand it you do need a Gmail account to use it -- if you don't have one and you want to play I do have lots of Gmail invites available.

That's come out looking rather nice. It appears that it doesn't create valid XHTML but, for most purposes, I doubt anybody will notice. How did you find the creation process? Easy? Hard?

My pleasure. Glad to see it's of use to someone.

Very easy to use i found. Although a little irritating placing things like images. Quick and simple to upload images though. Should make lots of nice gallery pages!

Im still a fan of the notepad revolution however.

You guys got in quickly. The service has become so popular that it is closed to new subscribers.
