Starry Night no longer works with OpenGL

Starry Night no longer works with OpenGL

My graphics card is an ATI 9600XT. Starry Night Enthusiast 4.5 has worked flawlessly on this in OpenGL mode (the fast, very good looking mode).

Since updating the graphics card drivers to Catalyst 5.10 and 5.11 Starry Night no longer works with OpenGL on.

Anyone else experiencing this?
Cheers,

This rings a bell with me, Neale. I'm sure I experienced the problem on my previous PC. I can't recall how I resolved it, which isn't much help, I know. I'll keep thinking, it'll come back to me eventually.

Starry Night were not a lot of help - their advice was delete the preferences files and try again (this I did but it didn't fix the OpenGL failure).
Their fall back advice was to revert to older drivers - which of course goes against the advice of most software distributors (incl. Starry Night) to keep drivers up to date.

I withdraw that comment. After reporting that their first advice had done nothing they continued to work at the problem. Ultimately the fault was identified as a corrupt Quicktime installation. Reinstalling quicktime codecs fixed the problem.

Neale, that's good news, thanks for letting us know.
