It has been a while since I last saw a display of NLC, but I’m fairly sure I caught the tail end of a weak display in the east-northeast at 3:00am this morning. I couldn’t sleep, so I got up to take a look at the night sky, and there was a definite wispy electric blue look about these clouds very low on the horizon. The photo doesn’t pick them out too well.

Best wishes, Jeff.

Thanks stella. I see the BBC have released a few pics from further north than my location, which look stunning.

Best wishes, Jeff.

Nice one - it's a long time since I saw any Noctilucent Cloud myself, so I'm pleased Stella commented before me.
Best wishes from Cliff

Cheers Cliff. It was quite exciting to spot it. I’d seen the reports of recent increased activity and I was lucky enough to wake up at the right time. Although, I suspect I missed the better part of the display.

I will have to look back through my diaries to spot my last NLC obs.

Best wishes, Jeff.

NLC June 8/9.

2019 June 09.
0202 UT to 02.15 UT.
340 to 025 degrees azimuth trees both ends.
Maximum elevation 20 degrees.
Bands, waves and whirls.
Brightness 3 to 4.

24 photos G15 ~0.5 sec f/1.8 to f/2.8, 1600 ISO.
I am not computer literate and some of my photos have ghosts from the bright street light in the photos.

I have been observing NLC from the late 1960s. Fifty years.

Regards,
David

Glad you got to see some NLC on the 9th, David. Let’s hope this period of activity continues.

Best wishes, Jeff.
