Sunday :17/3/19 : 0755-1045 UT. Blue sky, passing intermittent and increasing cloud. Sun hidden by garden Yew throughout by moving the tripod from time to time. Used mounted 7x50 Helios binocular. Venus visible as a brightist star between the clouds, no phase or disk. When first located, Venus was first just above the southern rooftops and was followed until culmination at around 0946 UT, and intermittently followed thereafter until lost at about 1045 UT. Sunday, 24/3/19, fairly clear sky, some cirrus and contrails! Warm and sunny later, I sat in the garden!Located Venus at 0930 and followed until 1005 UT. Just as a bright 'star' in 12-30x50 spotter from the garden. The Sun was hidden behind the yew tree for safety but finally had to move the tripod and then lost sight of Venus. (Obs.#567.) regards maf.
