Jupiter and moons in twilight

Post by mike a feist »

Sunday, 24/3/19, 0515 UT: Finally a chance of a bit of skywatching! Using 12-30x50 Olivon T50 spotter from the back garden. Jupiter almost south above the rooftops with all four Gallileans to the east of (following) Jupiter clearly visible in morning twilight. Callisto, farthest out, then the brightest, Ganymede, then Europa, and closest to Jupiter, Io. (Used the S & T applet to confirm IDs.) Regards maf.
