Monday morning, 14/1/19: 0715 UT. Using 10x50 on tripod from the back garden. Sky dawning bluish, mostly clear. Brilliant Venus over the southern rooftops and to the right, the stars of Scorpius, nu, beta (Graffias), omega 1 + omega 2, and delta (Dschubba). (NB. From the upper window could also see Jupiter but this was below the rooftops from the garden. Venus was too far round to the south to be seen from the upper window.) Regards maf.
