Friday, 23/11/18, 1812. Just after Full Moon ( with indentation of Mare Humboldtianum at top of the disc), just having risen above distant houses across the Park. Rather poor conditions but a good view was had from upper bedroom window using Nikon 15-45x60 (at lowest magnification) on tripod and through the window-glass, of Aldebaran about a degree below the Moon. Up to the left was seen a fainter star at about a degree and a half from the Lunar limb, no doubt epsilon Tauri. Originalally Aldebaran was at about 7 o'clock position from the limb but by 1925 hrs the star was directly below the Moon and closer in, at about 3/4 of a degree. Regards maf.
