For solar 'scope observers, there's a huge, real-time, hedgerow prominence on display on the SDO ( Solar Dynamics Observatory ) site.

I only just noticed your mention of the interesting Prom on 12th November displayed on the SDO website.
I just checked my own Sun observations about then. I didn't manage to do any observing on the 12th myself but observed & imaged the Sun in both White Light & Ha on the 11th & again 15th November. I did observe & image Proms both days & sent my reports to the SPA Solar Section. However the proms I imaged were probably nothing like as spectacular as the SDO pics you mentioned.
