I was clouded out until about 21:30. Ursa Major wasn't very well positioned for me either. I tried from the top of the garden with my 15x70 bins but a light mist combined with the light pollution probably would have meant the need for my scope to stand a good a chance of seeing it.

We spent an hour and a half chasing gaps in the cloud, all of which appeared in the wrong place, although some around 21:30 were tantalisingly close. Oh well, better to have tried....

Clouded out here in Hertfordshire all night. Done a dry run on Thurs night lovely clear sky.
