I was travelling home from an astronomy outreach activity tonight (or rather from the post-session pub) and witnessed an amazing fireball at 00.04 which shot straight in front of me. I was on a dual carriageway, most inconveniently, but luckily the meteor was on a downward path between the easily visible Moon and Mars so I was able to look up some rough coordinates when I got home 5 mins later.
It was incredibly bright and the head was an amazing brilliant green colour.
I've submitted a full report to the meteor section.
Kind of makes up for not seeing the one last Saturday!
