On Friday at 21:49 the space station was exceptionally bright as it passed over the UK. There was also something dimmer ahead of it on the same path.
Does anyone know what that was?

Hi George,
As scarlet said it was a Russian cargo vessel (progress vessel 41) which un-docked on Fri. 22nd Apr. Tried looking for it in binoculars just before the 21.49 BST and 23.24 BST ISS passes that night but didn't see it.
It is filled with trash from the ISS and will destruct on re-entry over the Pacific on Tues 26th Apr.
All the best
Dave
