Hi guys, I am new to astrology and iam looking for dark sky sites in lancs, preferably near the burnley area, also info on meets that may take place in or around burnley, any help would be good thanks. Thomas f n.

The Astronomy Centre - near Todmorden
TAC is certainly still up and running. Facilities include x2 16" Meades, 12inch reflecting binoculars and an 8.5inch f12 refractor shortly to be mounted permanently outside, also a 30inch Dob which isn't currently in use. Peter Drew who runs it is also in the process of building a camera obscura - Peter is somewhat of an expert in these and has constructed them all over the world.
TAC is open every Saturday evenings and at other times for special events, just turn up.
