In my opinion, the subject is about looking at the SKY and not at a small SCREEN. The computer can be useful tool but is not the be-all and end-all of the subject. Flashy images and wizzbang screen effects will only trivialize the subject and produce short-lived over-enthuisiam. Astronomy, skywatch...

I am inclined to agree with you there, Skyhawk, especially the bit about Astronomy once being something really special. Excessive popularization of a subject does seem to take the magic out of it. The great thing about Patrick's "Sky at Night" TV programme was that it was perhaps slightly too short...
