That took me back to my early days :D I was strugling with my cheap Tasco scope for ages trying to get it to stop wobbling, then I had to focus this large salmon coloured planet .. as I got it in better focus this huge planet slowly got smaller and smaller untill it was hardly more than a point of li...

I managed to see Lulin on 2 occaisions as it passed M44,however on both times the sky was too cloudy (and the moon didn't help)
So you were very lucky to get such a great view and a great image :)

and an interesting discussion on "nasaspaceflight.com"

At least it sounds like Mr Bond has finally got some funding :D

You caught the colour really well :P

I saw Lulin in roughly the same spot, and I got a little confused if I was seeing the comet or the double star (just above it)
I couldn't separate the double with the binoculars but did so with my camera

Great pic,

For "normal" daytime photo's you'd have to fit another ir filter on the lens,as the one in the camera would be removed

I had a look earlier but Venus was too bright, although I wasn't shure exactly where Uranus was  ,
I took a quick 10 second picture zoomed in on Venus and once I understood the star field .. saw Uranus no problem,
