I have heard very little english on 143.625. I am not sure if the ISS ham repeater is still operational. if it is and it operates the same as the OSCAR birds then it might be that the mode changes during different times of day. I read that the uplink has moved to 70CMs (430 Mhz). This will really ca...

143.625.... i think... On my rig it shows as ISS 1.... The ISS 2 is the ham freq :) It's been a while since I saw what freq I programmed in :)

I called it the official freq as it can only be used by those who need to talk to the ISS. the other is used by those who WANT to :)

Reading these gets me thinking... The packet traffic, is it standard AX-25 like what we hams use or is it another format? I used to run software that could decode most things, great for pagers etc. This was so long ago, I forget what it is, but there is tons of stuff out there for the listener. I on...

I found out how to do it. The "open in 32 bit mode" was meant for preview itself not the image file. I had to right click on "preview" in the applications folder, then click "get info". In this info panel, there was a box to tick to open preview in 32 bit mode. This done, it opens the PICT files wit...

Karen, there is a little info about the Cwmcarn event on the CAS website.
It might be an idea to contact them and ask.
If I hear any more about it, I will post it here.
I hope to be there.

Is this the software to get webcams working on a Mac? If so, I have only used Macam on a microscope and it worked very well indeed. If you can see the moon, you should be able to see anything else bright enough for the webcam to detect. Could it be something simple like you are not focussing correct...

Re: The double clutser is a great object

It is clearly seen with the unaided eye from dark places, So I've been told... I live in the centre of Cardiff, some nights I struggle to see the moon :) To be fair, the sky isn't too bad over me, or the local AS' observing sites, but the cluster isn't visible unless you have assistance. Now I know...
