Nebulae in Auriga
Here is my first attempt at imaging in full narrowband using, my Optolong l-eNhance filter, Canon 600D (Astro) WO Z61, and mounted on the Losmandy G11 - Gemini 2 goto. I still need to learn how to process color NB images but. With practice. I will get there. Guiding=PHD 2 Image capture=APT Stacking=...

Re: Three Planets & No Comet
Hello Nigel, That is a very nice observing report, and I am sorry C/2020 F3 defied your attempts to see it. I am looking forward to getting out myself under a clear sky if there is such a thing. For the last two weeks, my little corner of the universe has been enshrouded in a cloud with rain almost ...

Re: December 2019
Dear Cliff, December and indeed the season so far has been awful. I haven't done any Astro-imaging or observing because of the constant cloud, rain, wind. I hope when January arrives Winter will kick in and we can enjoy some dark-clear winter evenings and nights. I hope you are feeling better soon C...

That is a nice report, Nigel.
I am envious because here in Chesire East, the skies have been awful.

Agreed. It's been nonsense.
I pray for high pressure coupled with a cold polar air mass, and clear skies.

Well caught Cliff,
I was at work near Knutsford-Cheshire. It was cloudy-wet with hail, all-day.

URANUS
I was able to see Uranus yesterday evening. The planet was very steady (Seeing Ant II) with only minor fluctuations from passing cloud. I used my newly collimated Celestron C9.25 and an Altair Ultra Flat 18mm eyepiece giving a magnification of x130. Uranus was a small, round, pale green 3.7 arcsec o...

That's a good idea.

Re: More fake news?
I read about this comet in the September Astronomy Now. It's moving South but has some close encounters with some bright stars which will act as good sign post's.
It will nice to see a reasonably bright comet from the dark skies of the Equinox Star Party.

Teggs Nose Star Gaze
Good morning everybody, Macclesfield Astronomical Society held it's second Public Astronomy evening at Teggs Nose country park, Macclesfield. The skies were mixed with variable amounts of cloud at the beginning of the evening, but increasing cloud towards the end. I was able to show our attendees th...
