Ok, i spotted a greenish object last night 23/12 aprox 23.40 i believe it was a fireball type object, it also travelled roughly from the north through to the south east heading toward orion, again it showed through patchy cloud and appeared to be low for a meteor type object. Sounds nice. How does the Tal 100RS perform? What is the difference to an ordinary Tal 100? Which of your scopes can resolve the closest double stars? Does the Maksutov take a long time to cool? new refractor coming

Tomorrow i will drive to chester to collect a new to me scope, a lovely Vixen 80m custom on original alt az mount, im thinking this might live at my girlfriends house as a grab an go set up for lunar/planets and double star work

I have just had a first light with a new to me telescope viewing jupiter, the scope is branded Astro and its the same as the prinz astral 400 D60 F700
for a very old scope it did very well showing all four moons and both the seb and neb

its a thing of beauty, just a shame we dont get much tal gear here in the uk
