Thanks for your comments re 'Why more compact?' After re examining my post - the velocity of light should read, greater in the earlier stages of the universes expansion because of gravitys stronger influence.

A special 17inch F4 Telescope

I am interested in aquiring the where abouts of a particular telescope which I had and made back in 1960! I sold it relucktaintly, to help finance a building project with every intention of replacing it in the near future, but so much for the best well laid plans, it never quite worked out that way....

I was a near nieghbour and friend of Frank Cousins at Saltdean. I had a telescope making business at that time and used to call regularly on Frank and his wife,Isabelle, to discuss his book and share astronomical matters.
