Not hundred percent sure, but think yellow wire is the sensor, red and black are the power wires, looking at my motherboard manual pin one is ground ie black, pin 2 is +12v most likely red, and pin 3 is fan rpm rate sense, more likely yellow, just checked against an old case fan, and pin 3 is yellow...

thanks for the warm welcome, need some warmth, it's rather cold out there at the moment. :lol: got a better look at jupiter this evening and defintely saw M 45 this time. Saturn is too late in the evening for me at the moment as have to be at work for 6am :-( want to try and see the Andromeda galaxy...
