Re: Messier 103

Here's my one shot 20 second attempt at the M103 open cluster using a canon 350D Ctelestron C 11 scope from a light polluted back garden. Well chuffed but nothing like Ian's fine attempt.

Re: Messier 103

Ian,

The Jewel Box in Crux is indeed a fine object in my 10x70 binos that I used whilst in dock in the Falklands for a few days every couple of months or so.
Out shone by Eta Carina near by but only just, in my opinion.

Enjoy your time down South, you'll love it.

Re: Old Mars from 2016

Since this attempt, I've just bought a Neximager10, CPC 925 Celestron and a whole load of cloudy skies since I bought them a month or so ago. SO, sorry for the clouds I'm sure they'll pass in good time (SO my lovely wife keeps telling me). I set it up quickly to view the planets Mars, Jupiter and Sa...

Old Mars from 2016

Hi guys, After seeing some cracking images of Mars, I thought I'd share my poor attempt at Mars from a few years ago. Using a 10" Newt and Toucam Pro. Mars was only small at this ti,e. This is my only shot of this planet. Dodgy colour, too orange  https://stargazerslounge.com/uploads/month...

Re: Mars - 28 November 2020

Cracking image Brian mate. I hope to capture an image of Mars once these clouds have finally moved on. I sorted the troubles with my neximage10 by buying a new laptop to go with my new CPC925 Celestron.

I'll post any attempts here, good or bad....... ummmm ???

Neximage 5 software

Guys,

Tried my neximage 5 last night for the first time last night and it doesn't work on Windows 10. Does anyone else run this camera on Win 10, or is it now defunct.

Hope someone can help me. I tried Sharpcam and Icap, both no goes ????

Cheers Eddie :(

Been searching the web for info on the next lunar eclipse. Anyone have any idea when. I reckon 28 days after the solar totality.
