hi there all
just a simple qoestion, can RA be reckoned in degrees. I could fit my dobby with a scale, which should put it some-where near the target. It seems to work for DEC but thats fairly straight forward,RA is not so obliging

one of the reasons I had for asking was to set up in daylight and have ready when I was,but your right it isnt hard to set up, its just me being lazy

thanks Dave,I think you covered all my fears on that score.I sometimes use a sky lux on an eq mount, its quick and easy to set up and if I use a compass that will be evan easier

this may be a silly question but can you use a compass to set a scope,or is centering on the north star the only way. The compass is proberley quicker
