hi goodtime here is a pic of the moon as it was today at 0630. the scope is a 127mm maksutov at 1500mmfl using a 20mm e/p. ive left the image reversed.

hi astroeddie, the only lock nut i can see is the thumbscrew bolt on the bottom of the mount, the one that secures the mount to the tripod, as ive said the scope can slew in any direction even in slew and declination and at various speeds, so judging by the replies above i have a problem. thanks to ...

hi brian and thanks for your reply, yes the lights that you mention do flash to indicate activation of tracking, but the scope just sits there acting dumb, or it could be just me, this may sound daft but i have tested the tracking against a near by street light, while the light should stay still the...

ok i cannot give a link, but the scope is a skymax 127 supa trak auto, 5" maksutov, am i allowed to say who i bought the scope off, just to show the pic, or is that against spa rules?

hi all, recently i bought a 127mm maksutov azimuth auto guide telescope, and i would like some advice please. firstly the main lens at the front end of the telescope seems "tacky" if touched, and being so has gathered some dust particles on the lens, so can you please tell me how to clean the lens. ...

i would say that most craters are impact, while the lesser are of volcanic in origin, remember the "seas" were eons ago molten lava flows, so the moon has experienced volcanism in its past.

well put maf, as a general idea to save even more money for the spa, how about this: the quarterly mag is sent via mail, and is a nice small booklet, but in order to save money, publish it as a download, thereby saving postage and publishing fees.
