I used my new MF for the first time last night (£15 greyish stamped Moon) I cannot say that I was exited, especially at higher mags. I could live without it, but need to try it more at low mags. Hi PaulB,

Had a look tonight at Mars, but could not see any detail in my Dob. It seemed quite unstable at higher mags.

M42 was good however, but a bit low down for comfort from my garden.

How is the car?

I use the Celestron Power Tank with my Skypod. Think it's great.
As said above, watch the polarity. I had to change it at the cigar plug end for mine, but it might be fine for Celestron.

Public Lecture at Jodrell Bank

A request for a bit of help all please. I am thinking of going to one of the above in Feb by their(and our)own Dr. Ian. Has anyone been to them, and is prior knowledge of RA a pre-requisite? or does "public" mean for the likes of me?? I would very much like to go, but not if it is way over my head (...
